We have Registrars who are training to qualify as a GP. FY2 grade doctors on attachment to the practice for four months at a time these are fully qualified doctors who work in hospital medicine but are having GP training as part of their mandatory rotation. We also have 3rd & 5th year medical students. All are working under the close supervision of the partners.

The surgery staff consists of a Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, IT/Admin Manager and a Reception Manager.

The team span across various roles (IT manager, administrators, medical secretary). The team scan letters onto patient records and forward them to relevant healthcare professionals. They answer general queries, including information about referrals and insurance reports. They do data entry and allocation such as code diagnoses and procedures onto patient records. The team also register new patients. Administrators provide support to clinical and non-clinical staff and send referrals.

The team provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with general enquires.
