We have Registrars who are training to qualify as a GP. FY2 grade doctors on attachment to the practice for four months at a time these are fully qualified doctors who work in hospital medicine but are having GP training as part of their mandatory rotation. Also 3rd & 5th year medical students. All are working under the close supervision of the partners,

The surgery staff consists of a Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, IT/Admin Manager and a Reception Manager that do the organisation throughout the office, with eleven receptionists working alongside them. We have six IT/clerical staff that make sure all the data is put onto the computer correctly and 2 secretaries that process all the referral letters and deals with insurance reports and requests for medical records.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries.

The Health Visiting (HV) team offers support and advice on a variety of subjects concerning the health, development and growth of your child aged 0-5 years old. The HV team also provide support to the family as a whole including emotional health support for mothers. Support is offered via telephone contact, home visits, and contact within community venues e.g. local Children’s centre and at the weekly appointment based Child Health Clinic.
